The 2026 International Conference on Gerontology Studies (ICGS) aims to provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to address the global challenges and opportunities of population aging.
The conference will serve as a platform for sharing research on enhancing the quality of life and social participation of older adults through technological innovation, social integration, sustainable policy frameworks, and innovative best practices. Featuring keynote speeches, thematic parallel sessions, and expert panels, the event will highlight cutting-edge empirical research, theoretical advancements, and innovative practices in gerontology.
Topics of Interest
We welcome original research papers, case studies, and theoretical reviews from global academics/researchers and administrators in relevant fields. To foster a diverse and inclusive academic dialogue, topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

e.g., mental health, intergenerational relationships, social isolation, aging in place.
e.g., pension systems, healthcare economics, urban planning, community support.

Conference Language
The official conference language is English. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Chinese will be provided for plenary sessions.
Submission Guidelines & Important Dates
Submissions are accepted in both English and Chinese.
Required only for authors who wish to be included in the official conference proceedings with an ISBN.
If an abstract or a full paper is submitted in Chinese, an English version of the abstract must be submitted at the same time.
Note
Submission of full papers is optional. Those who have their abstracts accepted may give oral presentations of their papers at the Conference. Accepted full papers will be included in the proceedings with an ISBN, if they are accepted. They will be considered for the Best Paper Award and Excellent Paper Award. Selected full papers from the Conference will also be recommended to international journals or an edited book for publication.
Submission Guidelines
Papers submitted for presentation should normally be in correct English. The oral presentation must be delivered in easily comprehensible and fluent English. Papers must be presented by the authors themselves. No one will be allowed to present any paper on behalf of its author.
Quality is the most important requirement. All papers to be presented should make concrete contributions to fields relevant to gerontology. All submissions will be reviewed for relevance, originality, clarity, soundness, and significance by at least two reviewers.
Each abstract accepted for oral presentation will be allocated a timeslot for paper presentation if at least one of the authors completes registration. Each paper presentation requires at least one registration at the early-bird or regular rate.
